Storage cleverly fits around original features and most appliances are hidden. the redesign of James pressed the value every corner, so there is room for a lot of worktop space, a generous island and dining table. Now, owners can relax, have fun and, of course, cook here effortlessly.

James wanted the kitchen cabinets to look like furniture in a reception room, rather than any functional or industrial obvious. Soft colors, hidden cameras (there is a dishwasher and two under-counter freezer in the island) and some gentle contrast of the dark fireplace contribute to this sensation. The color scheme is quite classic, chosen according to the Georgian house, James said.

the focal point of the kitchen is the large island with integrated sink. "It works both as a place to prep food and as a social center, with a seating area and a handy wine rack near!" James said.
The island boasts plenty of natural light from the large windows. "It was designed to be multi-tasking, but not so large that it cramps the room, James said. "We used curved edges on it, and other work plans, so there are no sharp corners to bump as you move around the room.

the kitchen space contained many beautiful original Georgian features, such as molding and fireplace. "We had to respect these beautiful details and work around them," says James. "I could not conceive anything to stand in front of the fireplace or windows.

to keep a sense of calm and relaxed space, James sourced granite soft tones for worktops and splashback. "He has beautiful warm colors and patterns in it, like tornadoes of sand, he said.

In the dining room, he designed a neat package that contains elements of a stereo and necessary for the dining table, such as towels and candlesticks. 'It really borders on well behind the door, he said.
