To do this, he designed floor to ceiling units that flow into the living space next door, then hid the island to the side to create a discrete cooking zone. "The space was something of a premium, so we wanted to make use of every inch," said Charlie, 'while adding some industrial touches and some accent color to give a unique feel and character.

The cabinets are designed by Charlie and then modified according to each client. "We generally use a mixture of MDF moisture resistant, which is very stable, and the wood, Charlie said. The cabinets were then spray painted in a soft gray eggshell. T he walls were painted in a very similar shade to help the kitchen blend and feel a part of the entire ground floor , "he added.

The backsplash is made of polished plaster. "It is mixed on site at the specified and hard color as a rock," says Charlie. "It is then polished to create a very smooth washable finish.
